These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Book My Cook platform, including our website and mobile application (collectively, the “Platform”) and the services provided through it (“Services”).

By using our Platform, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any additional policies issued by us from time to time.

1. About Book My Cook

Book My Cook is a technology platform that connects users with independent professional chefs (“Chefs”) for in-home cooking and party chef services.

We:

  • Enable booking of chefs
  • Facilitate payments
  • Provide platform support

We do not directly provide cooking services.

2. Nature of Services

  • Chefs are independent professionals, not employees of Book My Cook
  • All services are provided directly by the Chef
  • Book My Cook acts only as a facilitator

3. Eligibility

  • You must be 18 years or older
  • You must provide accurate and complete information

4. Bookings

  • Bookings are subject to chef availability
  • Confirmation will be sent via app, SMS, or email
  • We may provide a replacement chef if required

5. Pricing & Payments

  • Prices are displayed at the time of booking
  • Includes chef charges and platform fees
  • Payments must be made via UPI, cards, wallets, or net banking

⚠️ We are not responsible for payments made outside the platform.

6. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Cancellation policies depend on booking type and timing
  • Last-minute cancellations may incur charges
  • Refunds (if applicable) will be processed as per policy

7. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide a safe and clean kitchen environment
  • Treat chefs with respect
  • Inform chefs of allergies or dietary requirements

We may suspend your account for misconduct, abuse, or unsafe conditions.

8. Platform Usage Restrictions

You agree NOT to:

  • Misuse or attempt to hack the platform
  • Copy or reproduce platform content
  • Bypass the platform to directly hire chefs

9. Reviews & Content

  • You may post reviews and feedback
  • You grant us the right to use this content for platform improvement and marketing

10. Data & Privacy

Your data is handled as per our Privacy Policy.

  • We may use data to improve services
  • We may send notifications and promotional communication

11. Liability Disclaimer

  • We do not guarantee chef performance
  • We are not liable for:
    • Food taste preferences
    • Allergies not disclosed
    • Damages during service

Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the booking or ₹5,000, whichever is lower.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Book My Cook harmless from any claims, damages, or losses arising from your misuse of the platform or violation of these Terms.

13. Account Suspension

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent or harmful activity.

14. Governing Law

  • These Terms are governed by Indian law
  • Jurisdiction: Delhi, India
